Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 / Year

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Cafe Management supports daily operations at a NYC healthcare facility—the Koch Center—with $3M in annual revenue. The location includes a weekday-only coffee bar and café serving patients and staff, with a team of approximately 15. This role focuses on team leadership, client relationship management, financial performance, and execution of high-quality food service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the café and coffee bar

  • Partner with Chef and management to ensure nutritious, high-quality food offerings

  • Launch new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams

  • Maintain strong client relationships within the healthcare setting

  • Manage, train, and develop a team of ~15 associates

  • Support and track financial performance to meet $3M revenue targets

  • Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of food service management experience

  • Experience in healthcare, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, or military

  • Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Associate’s degree preferred
