Job description

The Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs is a 12-month position which will support the Director of Auxiliary Programs in developing, overseeing, and growing auxiliary offerings at Brooklyn Friends School, including our BFX after-school programs, our Camp Brooklyn summer programs, and facility rentals at our Pearl Street and Lawrence Street campuses with mission-aligned community partners. This role is ideal for a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and detail-oriented leader who is passionate about providing high-quality, enrichment opportunities aligned with our school’s mission and vision for students in Downtown Brooklyn.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the development, planning, execution, and evaluation of after-school programs, summer camps, and other auxiliary initiatives.
  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise/assign/direct program staff, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for students, in a confidential manner.
  • Manage and oversee daily program operations, including scheduling, logistics, and safety protocols.
  • Develop, administer and enforce policies and practices for auxiliary programs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for families, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Direct and oversee purchasing of equipment, materials and services needed for program delivery.
  • Support budget management, enrollment tracking, and program reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance and expand program offerings.
  • Manage and oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements and school policies.
