Job summary

The University of Virginia's School of Nursing seeks an Assistant Director of Admissions to lead planning and execution of recruitment, admissions and enrollment initiatives. The incumbent will represent UVA School of Nursing at multiple levels, analyze recruitment and admissions data, and support reporting for funding sources.

Qualifications

Job description

The University of Virginia's School of Nursing seeks an Assistant Director of Admissions to serve in the Office of Admissions. The Assistant Director of Admissions provides direction and support for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluation activities related to recruitment, admissions and enrollment in the School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Executes all aspects of School of Nursing recruitment efforts.

• Develops and creates innovative ways to recruit and represent the School of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree required.

• Experience: 1+ years relevant experience in admissions, student services or related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters in Higher Education preferred

• At least three years of experience in admissions, student services or related field.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust and relationships with faculty, staff, parents, and perspective students

• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

Salary Range

• The anticipated hiring range is $55,000-$60,000, commensurate with education and experience.

• This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and is eligible for a hybrid schedule in accordance with UVA's remote work guidelines.
