Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing

Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Nursing at Montefiore Medical Group provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to nursing staff. Collaborating with the Director of Nursing, this role ensures high-quality patient care while complying with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities include managing staff, overseeing daily operations, developing policies, fostering staff development, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to promote a patient-centered environment. Candidates should have a strong nursing management background, leadership skills, and a commitment to healthcare excellence.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in Quality Improvement projects aligned with regulatory standards and collaborate on staff development initiatives.
  2. Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing operations in outpatient ambulatory care.
  3. Hire, monitor, and support nursing and support staff activities, ensuring safe and timely patient management.
  4. Serve as a clinical resource for healthcare providers and participate in patient care planning.
Shift

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Valid New York State Registered Nurse License and current registration.
  2. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field; Master’s preferred.
  3. At least 2 years of nursing experience and 4 years of management experience.
  4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  5. Ability to utilize management and quality improvement tools.
  6. Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
Additional Information
