The University of Houston invites applications for an open-rank Clinical Faculty position in family or internal medicine within the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine.

The Assistant Director for the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship will work with LIC Director to lead Phase 2 experiences across ambulatory and inpatient settings, ensuring alignment with curriculum and assessments. The successful candidate is an experienced clinician educator with at least 2 years of supervisory

Qualifications

• MD degree and ABMS board certification.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Texas.
• Experience in medical education, curriculum development, learner assessment and/or related disciplines

Responsibilities

• Develops Phase 2 experiences with the LIC team and planning meetings.
• Creates and evaluates academic day sessions using learner-centered methods.
• Maps clerkship objectives to program objectives and curriculum.
• Assesses student performance and provides feedback.
• Manages day materials and LMS coordination.
• Prepares and orients faculty for the academic day.
• Recruit preceptors for all LIC aspects.
• Monitors student experiences and evaluations across sites.
• Maintains positive learning environment at clinical sites.
