Job Description
Summary

Reporting to the Director, Advocacy and Outreach, the Assistant Director advances initiatives to combat food and clothing insecurity, fostering equity and belonging on campus. Oversees programs like the Red Hawk Food Pantry and Rocky’s Career Closet, addressing system barriers to student success through resource mobilization, community partnerships, and data evaluation.

Principal Duties
  • Manage daily operations of resource programs, ensuring safety and health standards.
  • Develop and evaluate programs addressing resource insecurity.
  • Establish policies for inventory, distribution, and awareness campaigns.
  • Track program data and assess impact for continuous improvement.
  • Build partnerships with local and national organizations.
  • Supervise and mentor student workers and volunteers.
  • Support office operations, including event logistics and resource management.
  • Manage budgets and financial processes.
  • Collaborate with donors and assist in grant writing.
  • Maintain certifications and participate in professional development.
  • Uphold confidentiality and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Public Health, Higher Ed Admin, or related.
  • At least three years in college student activities, resource advocacy, or social services.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse populations.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education Admin or related.
  • Knowledge of resource insecurity issues and best practices.
  • Experience with fundraising, donor relations, and grants.
