Job summary

Utah Tech University’s Financial Wellness Center seeks an Assistant Director to lead day-to-day operations and advance student success by reducing financial stress and improving persistence. Under the Financial Wellness Center Faculty Director, this role oversees partnerships, programming, and external representation across campus and in Washington County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
• AFC®, CFP®, CPFC or other related financial counseling credential within 18 months of hire required.
• Three (3) years in financial education, financial counseling, student services, or higher education programming preferred.
• Higher‑education experience; Navigate familiarity; experience with first‑gen, Pell‑eligible, working, or non‑traditional students; Spanish/English bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships across campus to integrate financial wellness into student success initiatives.
• Coordinate data collection, program assessment, and reporting to evaluate student impact and program effectiveness.
• Supervise and train peer financial coaches, including ongoing professional development and quality assurance.
• Provide direct financial coaching support to students as needed.
• Assist in development of outreach strategies, workshops, presentations, and digital educational content.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
