Job summary

Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) in New York City seeks an Assistant Director of Education & Community Engagement to lead program management and production for CMS’s family and adult education initiatives. This role partners with academic institutions and represents CMS alongside the Director to advance community engagement across New York City.

The position requires 5+ years in arts administration or related fields, strong PM skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple programs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in arts administration, education program management, or performing arts production.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple programs simultaneously.
• Knowledge of classical music and chamber music repertoire and ability to read music.
• Experience building and sustaining institutional partnerships.
• Availability to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee family programs: manage timelines, casting, venue coordination, and on-site execution.
• Oversee adult programs: manage Master Classes, Inside Chamber Music, and Lincoln Center Moments.
• Support Community Concert Series production and on-site logistics.
• Cultivate partnerships with universities, colleges, and conservatories to expand CMS's audience and reach.
