Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM; some weekends and weeknights may be required

Hours per Week: 37.5

Months per Year: 12

Purpose of Position

The Assistant Director, Donor Engagement, Compliance contributes to NKU’s fundraising success by designing and coordinating donor experiences and connections to the impact of their giving. This position is an instrumental part of University Advancement, ensuring that funds are properly allocated and providing meaningful cultivation, stewardship, and recognition.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Manage and oversee all aspects of gift cultivation, stewardship, and compliance, focusing on donor-funded scholarships, including donor communication, recognition, reporting, and spending audits.
  2. Coordinate and enhance student involvement in donor relations across campus, ensuring active participation in expressing gratitude and engaging with donors.
  3. Regularly review donor agreements, university policies, and regulations relevant to donor funds; ensure this information is accessible and organized for inquiries and staff.
  4. Develop and implement specialized reports and materials to tell the story of donors’ gifts and ongoing impact.
  5. Collaborate with the Office of Student Financial Assistance, the NKU Foundation, and scholarship committees to maintain donor criteria throughout the selection and awarding processes.
  6. Support donor visits and relations, including mailing gifts, managing communications, and outreach coordination.
  7. Maintain NKU’s donor database, ensuring accurate and current touchpoints and outreach records.
  8. Maintain in-depth knowledge of university priorities and initiatives to identify engagement opportunities for donors and prospects.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
