Job Opening: Assistant Director, Dining Services

We are hiring immediately for a Assistant Director, Dining Services position at Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education.

Location: Manhattan University - 4513 Manhattan College Pkwy, Bronx, NY 10471. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, based on business needs. Some weekends required.

Requirement: Experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.

Salary: $70,000.00

Job Summary

Summary: Assist with daily food service operations at a medium to large volume location, manage and lead a team, develop talent, manage client relationships, and support financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Chef and management team to create nutritious, high-quality food.
• Implement new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Maintain excellent client relationships.
• Manage, train, and develop associates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Associate’s degree preferred.
