Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day Lead Teachers and Teachers or Family Child Care Home Coordinators.
• Lead curriculum development and child assessment.
• Assist Director with admin duties including enrollment interviews, parent visits, tuition collection and billing.
• Support enrollment events, parent involvement activities, and conferences.
• Cover teaching duties if needed as temporary replacement.
• Assist in accreditation projects and other Director-initiated tasks.
• Follow agency directives with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Model the CCAB mission: respect the dignity of all people.
• Attend required meetings/trainings, including evenings.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a cooperative manner.
• Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality for children, families, staff and community.
• Maintain a personal development plan (IPDP) and PQ Registry updates.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform duties physically and emotionally, with or without accommodations.

30 to 40 Hours Full-Time 77 Salem Street, Malden, MA, US

Salary Range: $55,102.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for day-to-day supervision of Lead Teachers and Teachers, or Family Child Care Home Coordinators
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and child assessment
• Assist the Director with administrative duties, which may include enrollment interviews and parent visits, intake, file and account maintenance, collection and deposit of tuition, ordering of food and supplies, meal and snack planning, staff scheduling and calling substitutes, preparation of bills for payment, and preparation of month-end third party billing
• Assist the Director in developing and fostering parent participation in the program, which may include a newsletter, parent social events, conferences with teachers, volunteer activities in the classrooms, parent council, and other activities
• May temporarily serve in a teaching capacity to cover for the absence of a regular teacher, or in family childcare may serve as a home coordinator
• Assist the Director in planning and implementing other projects as requested, e.g. accreditation
• Follow through with all Agency directives, and assigned tasks and projects, in a professional and positive manner, respecting supervision and constructive criticism
• Model the CCAB mission statement to “respect the dignity of all people”
• Attend all required meetings and trainings, which may involve evening hours
• Demonstrate a willingness to work cooperatively with colleagues
• Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and professional responsibility, including maintaining confidentiality, to children, families, staff, colleagues, the Agency and the community.
• Have a plan (IPDP) for his/her own professional development, staying current in the field through attendance at workshops and conferences, reading relevant literature and/or taking courses, staying current in the PQ Registry
• Physical, mental and emotional ability to accomplish the job, including evacuating the building, with or without corrective devices and accommodations, including the ability to read and write, to hear the conversational voice, to speak and be understood, the ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Other duties as assigned
