The Learning Experience – Newark, DE is seeking an organized and motivated Assistant Director to support the daily operation of our early childhood education center. This role blends leadership, family service, staffing support, and center operations.

You will help ensure the school runs smoothly each day by guiding teachers, coordinating schedules, and upholding licensing requirements. Strong customer service and communication with families are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous childcare center, preschool, or early childhood experience required.
• Delaware licensing requirements knowledge helpful.
• Leadership or administrative experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations with center leadership.
• Assist staffing, scheduling, classroom coverage, and maintaining required ratios.
• Support teacher onboarding, training, coaching, and development.
• Maintain licensing and employee documentation.
• Build relationships with families and enrollments.
