Job summary

Chroma Early Learning Academy in Georgia is seeking an experienced Childcare Center Assistant Director to lead daily operations, support staff development, and ensure a high-quality learning environment. This role oversees licensing compliance with Georgia Bright from the Start, drives enrollment growth, and builds relationships with families and the community.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, organized leader with a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to excellence in care

Qualifications

• Two or more years of center leadership/management experience highly preferred; at least one year of center leadership/management experience required.
• Professional teaching experience with infants to preschool children highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.
• CPR and First Aid Certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, schedules and interviews teacher candidates and builds networks of external future talent.
• Conducts classroom observations and evaluations, providing feedback to motivate learning.
• Manages team to ensure curriculum is executed in line with brand standards.
• Trains, coaches and develops staff to build future capabilities.
• Maintains weekly schedules and daily classroom ratios.
• Manages new hire paperwork and employee files to stay in license compliance.
• Oversees center staffing and budgeting to ensure appropriate labor and ratios.
• Ensures teachers receive trainings in compliance with state and licensing requirements.
• Leads tours and enrolls families, communicating curriculum strengths and teacher quality.
• Maintains family communication regarding student progress and concerns.
• Executes family engagement apps for updates and reminders.
• Audits records for students and teachers and ensures licensing compliance.
