Job Summary and Qualifications

As CBO Assistant Director, you will be part of a team of professionals in a rapidly expanding healthcare sector. You will oversee business office operations for your portfolio of surgery centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of your Business Office, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Charge Entry, Coding, Insurance Verification, and Collections.
• Monitor workflow, reassign staff as needed based on workload.
• Analyze reports to inform strategy.
• Evaluate charge entry, insurance verification, and cash posting for data integrity.
• Reduce and maintain bad debt levels.
• Understand managed care contracts with payors, including Medicare and Medicaid.
• Align AR goals with organizational objectives.
• Communicate with facility administrators regarding operational activities.
• Conduct performance appraisals and develop team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in a medical office setting (ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or doctor’s office).
• Minimum 1 year of accounts payable experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• BLS certification may be required per facility standards.
