Job summary

University of Richmond is seeking an Assistant Director of Career Services to support adult learners, graduate and undergraduate students, and alumni through coaching, education, and alumni engagement.

This role designs and delivers career programming tailored to professionals at different stages of their careers, including career changers, working adults, graduate students, and individuals pursuing career advancement or encore careers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in career development, graduate school advising, workforce development, human resources, or the equivalent.
• Skilled presenter with excellent writing and editing skills.
• Demonstrated strength in fostering inclusion and belonging.
• Must combine rich understanding of liberal arts with special appreciation for experienced professionals, adult learners, and graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Provide career coaching and education to students, alumni and professionals.
• Develop and deliver career programming across programs.
• Partner with academic programs, athletics, and alumni to design initiatives.
• Engage employers and alumni to create opportunities.
• Consult and collaborate with campus partners to translate academics into careers.
