The UNT Career Center is the centralized career office responsible for the career
development and employment of all UNT students and alumni. It has responsibility for all
Student Employment, Internships, and Post-Graduate Employment of UNT students.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for executing all Career Center hosted events (career fairs, networking events, etc.). This position oversees the execution of all events and, through supervision of the Coordinator for Events and Employer Services, all interview suite activity throughout the year. The employee is also responsible for maintaining campus partnerships with event venues and departments in order to carry out events successfully.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops
• Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations
• Experience in networking across departments and programs
• Ability to communicate and work with a wide array of populations
• Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Masters Degree in related field and at least one year of professional/related experience. Event planning, attention to detail and excellent customer service experience. Experience creating, tracking and reporting assessment data. Supervision of fulltime staff is a plus. Ability to comfortably interact with corporate executives. Understanding of recruiting and scheduling technologies (Handshake). Understanding of employment law.
