Cornell Health’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at Cornell University invites applications for the Assistant Director of Counseling Services — Clinical & Outreach. This role leads the Community Liaison services, including Let’s Talk, and other outreach programs, while supervising counselors and providing limited direct clinical services.

The position requires a Masters in social work (LCSW/LCSW-R) or a Doctorate in psychology, NY licensure, and at least three years of supervisory

Qualifications

• Masters degree in social work with LCSW/LCSW-R or Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology
• Licensed in New York State
• Experience supervising, managing, and leading a diverse clinical team
• 3 years of clinical supervision experience
• Demonstrated skill in understanding cultural differences
• Proven experience connecting inclusion, belonging and wellbeing practices to business goals

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Community Liaison services, including Let's Talk, and other outreach programs and group services
• Supervise Counselor Therapist staff and other clinical personnel
• Provide direct clinical services in a limited capacity
• Guide the vision for ongoing staff development and CAPS leadership
