Job description

The Division of Enforcement, Office of the Managing Executive is seeking a Supervisory General Attorney (Legal Operations) (Assistant Director - Business Manager). As an Assistant Director - Business Manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of functions supporting ENF human capital; overseeing day-to-day operations, particularly involving hiring, budget, program management, records management, and FOIA; and continuing business process assessment and performance improvement. BASIC REQUIREMENT: All applicants must possess the following:
  • J.D. or LL.B. degree --AND--
  • Active membership of the bar in good standing in any state, territory of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. (Note: proof of bar membership will be required before entry on duty.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement.

SK-17: Applicant must have at least 4 year(s) of post J.D. work experience identifying legal issues, conducting legal research, providing legal analyses, providing legal solutions/recommendations, and preparing legal documents, such as memoranda and correspondence, which also includes at least three (3) years:
  1. Providing oversight and direction for a wide range of issues related to the operations and business management of internal administrative responsibilities such as budget, procurement, human capital, and resource allocation and development;
  2. Implementing administrative policies, procedures, or initiatives to meet organizational needs and accomplish program objectives;
  3. Experience in at least 2 of the following areas: management analysis, risk management, acquisitions management, or general administrative support (such as space management, travel services)
