Job summary

Michigan State University College of Engineering is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Operations to join the Student Success Development team. You will manage a portfolio of annual giving campaigns and advancement operations to support reporting, data management, and donor pipeline development for Student Success Initiatives.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Development and collaborates with university advancement teams to implement effective giving programs.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Business or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of related fundraising, public relations, marketing, or higher education development work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communication and analytic reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee annual giving strategies and campaigns to grow donor engagement and giving levels.
• Manage complex operational workflows, data reporting, and process improvements for the unit.
• Supervise the Development Assistant and collaborate with central data/reporting teams.
• Prepare and reconcile operating budgets and ensure fiscal accuracy aligned with unit priorities.
