Job summary

Avina Living in Milwaukee is seeking an Assistant Director of its Adult Day Care Center to lead daily operations, oversee programs, staff and participant services, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment.

The role collaborates with the Director of Adult Day Services, families, healthcare partners and the community to support well-being and high-quality care, while maintaining regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the day-to-day operation of the Adult Day Center, ensuring services are delivered effectively and consistently.
• Plan, coordinate and accompany participants on community outings, ensuring activities are safe, accessible, engaging and align with participant interests and needs.
• Oversee staffing levels, scheduling and daily coverage to ensure operational and participant needs are met.
• Create a safe, respectful, inclusive and participant-centered environment for participants, families, visitors and staff.
• Develop and maintain a monthly calendar that provides a variety of engaging, meaningful activities.
• Develop, implement and evaluate programs and activities that support the physical, emotional, cognitive and social well-being of participants.
• Communicate and work closely with the Director of Adult Day Services to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations, licensing requirements, health and safety standards and organizational policies.
• Maintain participant records and chart appropriately.
