  • Enhance recruitment communications, marketing initiatives, and prospective student engagement.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to set and achieve annual and strategic recruitment goals.
  • Coordinate planning and assessment of special admissions programs and recruitment events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the university.

Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Admissions - Recruitment provides leadership and strategic oversight for freshman recruitment initiatives designed to achieve institutional enrollment goals. The position supervises admissions recruitment staff, develops and implements recruitment and yield strategies, analyzes enrollment trends and performance metrics, and collaborates with university stakeholders to enhance prospective student engagement and enrollment outcomes.

Essential Job Functions
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive recruitment strategy and annual plan that aligns with institutional enrollment goals across freshman student populations.
  • Supervise and evaluate Admissions counselors; utilize Slate and other enrollment management tools to monitor recruitment, funnel performance, assess recruitment effectiveness, and implement data informed strategies to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement enhancements to recruitment communications, marketing initiatives, and prospective student engagement strategies to support enrollment growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with enrollment leadership and campus stakeholders to establish, implement, assess, and achieve annual and strategic recruitment goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and oversee the planning, implementation, and assessment of special admissions programs, recruitment events, and strategic enrollment projects.
  • Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to the needs of the university.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 4 years of progressive recruitment, admissions, and/or higher education experience required.
  • Other relevant leadership experiences may substitute.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in leadership, business management, higher education, or another related field.
  • Experience and knowledge of Slate or other CRM systems.
  • Enrollment in and successful completion of MGMT 3311 Leadership Essentials within the first six months of employment.

Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to sit, stand, walk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment for extended periods.
  • The position may require occasional lifting and carrying of materials up to 25 pounds and travel to on-campus and off campus locations in support of departmental activities.
Job Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a combination of office and event settings and requires regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • This position may also require travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings.
