Job summary

QVC Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director to support live broadcasts for QVC and HSN at our West Chester, PA headquarters.

You will coordinate Playback, Graphics, Audio, and Camera to achieve production goals and serve as the central hub in the control room. The position requires an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Media or related field and 3+ years of live broadcast television experience, with hands-on knowledge of broadcasting equipment.

• Technical Direct on QVC2 or other shows when needed, potentially extending to other shows.

The Assistant Director supports QVC and HSN, and will support the live broadcast at the positions of Playback, Graphics, Audio, and Camera to achieve designated production goals.

Where You'll Work

This role is onsite and will require you to work from our West Chester, PA headquarters. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. This team support our live broadcast, and team member needs to have open availability to work days, night, weekdays, and weekends.

What You'll Do

• You will coordinate camera, graphics, and audio effects to achieve designated production goals
• Preset some camera shots in partnership with the Technical Director, Producer, and Show Host.
• You will act as a communication hub for the control room staff, coordinating with the Line Producer and backstage crew to execute the elements of the live production.
• When needed, the Assistant Director will Technical Direct on QVC2, or other shows, learning the necessary skills of the Technical Director position hands-on. In critical staffing situations, that may be extended to other shows or channels.

What You'll Bring

• An undergraduate degree in Broadcast Media, Communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
• 3+ years experience in live broadcast television production experience is required.
• Hands-on working knowledge of broadcasting equipment including audio boards, character generators, servers, digital video effects and camera robotics required.
