Job summary

TelevisaUnivision’s Production Operations team in Miami, FL seeks an Assistant Director to support the Director and Line Producer across all show facets. The role covers pre/postproduction, graphics, and live event coordination with a flexible schedule.

The candidate will train new staff, work in a collaborative team, and be ready for on-call hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in television production or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of equipment used in production, TV studio, and control room.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Perform well under pressure and live event situations.
• Ability to train new employees and co-workers.
• Work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to comply with a variable work schedule.
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as during tropical storms/hurricanes
