Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking an Assistant Director to help lead a licensed child care center in Mechanicsville, VA. You will work with the School Director to ensure safe, engaging, high‑quality care for children and families each day.

In addition to managing operations, you will mentor staff, support family relations, and promote Growth through training, compliance, and program development in a supportive, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of Assistant Director experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Associates Degree in ECE or related field is preferred.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director.
• In the Director’s absence, assume sole responsibility for the school.
• Assist in promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The Assistant Director assists in the promotion of the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.

Job Requirements:
