Job summary

Learning Care Group in New York’s Latham area is hiring an Assistant Director to partner with the School Director in ensuring safe, engaging childcare and smooth daily operations. You will oversee educational activities, safety protocols, and family communication to promote a positive learning environment.

The role requires leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting, a high school diploma (AA in early childhood preferred), and a plan to complete a BA.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have previous leadership experience and at least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state requirements for education and our center/school requirements.
• AA degree in early childhood education/child development with a plan of study to complete BA degree.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the school is operating safely and in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Foster an educational, caring, safe environment for children and families.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Support the School Director in the promotion of social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe, effective operation of the school with the School Director, to achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age

Compensation/Benefits:

• Compensation of $22.89/starting hourly based on Position, Education and Experience. Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options.
