Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services at Heritage Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Dietary Manager. You will assist the Dietary Manager with daily operations, uphold food quality, safety standards, and resident satisfaction in accordance with facility policy and regulations.

Responsibilities include training new dietary staff, coordinating with residents, facility staff, physicians, vendors, and other providers; ensuring meals follow production

Qualifications

• Prior healthcare foodservice experience required.
• Two years’ experience in foodservice management preferred.

• Ensure that standards and procedures for preparing food are being followed.
• Inspect meals and assure that standards for appearance, palatability, temperature, and serving times are met.
• Assure that foods are prepared according to production schedules, menus, and standardized recipes.
• Assure safe receiving, storage, preparation, and service of food.
• Protect food in all phases of preparation, holding, service, cooking, and transportation, using HACCP Guidelines.
• Ensure proper sanitation and safety practices of staff.
• Be able to work rotating shift.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager and Administrator.

Overview

The Assistant Dietary Manager assists the Dietary Manager with the daily operations of the dietary department, according to facility policy and procedures and federal/ state regulations. The Assistant Dietary Manager provides leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards, and resident expectations are satisfactorily met.
