Job summary

Urban Outfitters seeks an Assistant Designer to support the Women's Tops & Dresses Team. You will help translate seasonal vision through trend research, sketching, CAD development, and material reviews, ensuring samples align with design intent.

The role requires strong Procreate and Adobe Creative Suite skills, knowledge of garment construction, and the ability to collaborate with design leads, vendors, and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field with internship or entry-level experience.
Strong proficiency in Procreate and Adobe Creative Suite (XD/Photoshop) with CAD ability.
Experience with garment construction, fit, fabrics, draping, and mock‑ups.
Excellent trend awareness and understanding of the Urban Outfitters customer.
Excellent organization, communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

Support seasonal product development through trend research, sketching, CAD creation and sample review.
Prepare materials for key milestones: Sketch Review, Finalization, Print + Color presentations.
Maintain assortment tools, line sheets, CADs, BOMs in relevant systems.
Collaborate with design leads, cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure design intent.
Track department samples and manage timelines in a fast-paced environment.
