Capri Holdings is seeking an Assistant Designer for Women’s Off Price, Knits & Sweaters to translate the Michael Kors aesthetic into seasonal products. You will support the Senior Designer across the full product design process, from trend research to tech packs, in a fast-paced setting.

Based in NYC with a 3-day hybrid schedule, you’ll create sketches in Illustrator, prepare tech packs, and collaborate with Sales, Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design teams to ensure brand-right

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.
• ~1 year of related experience, full-time/freelance strongly preferred.
• Understanding of garment construction.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with flats/technical drawings and CADs.
• Ability to work in our NYC office 3 days a week (hybrid schedule).
• PLM & Figma experience is a plus.
• Lab dip/strike off approval process experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Understand the Michael Kors aesthetic and translate it into seasonal products.
• Support and collaborate with the Senior Designer on the entire product design process within Cut & Sew Knits and Sweaters categories.
• Conduct trend, market, and competitive research on a seasonal basis; Support Senior Designer in seasonal knit mock-ups and sweater knit down development.
• Create sketches in Adobe Illustrator, including sketch updates as needed throughout product lifecycle.
• Assist in creation of tech packs (BOMs, construction details, measurement chart) in PLM system.
• Update tech packs in the PLM system after seasonal touch point meetings.
• Attend weekly fittings; take notes or update sketches/tech packs where needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (Sales/Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design).
• Communicate regularly and clearly to our overseas agents and global cross-functional partners regarding tech pack details and style updates.

What You’ll Do
