Job summary

IHL Group, a New York City-based fashion company specializing in Women’s and Children's apparel, is seeking an Assistant Designer for its Kidswear division. The role supports weekly design tasks, creates inspiration boards, sketches garments, revamps CADs, and collaborates with production on fabric/trim sourcing and tech packs.

You will contribute to market week preparations and presentation boards, working in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Design internship experience is a plus!
• A strong knowledge of garment construction for generating tech packs/BOMs.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, in a fast-paced environment.
• Degree in Fashion Design and or Product Development.
• Proficiency in ADOBE Creative Suite such Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, and photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Assist with market apparel/graphic/ techniques research.

• Recolor CADs and prints for line sheets as needed.
• Work closely with production team to initiate fabric/trim sourcing and create technical packages.

Title: Assistant Designer (Kidswear)

Summary: IHL Group is looking for a passionate Assistant Designer to join our Kidswear division! This Designer will be responsible for assisting in weekly functions and tasks. This position is a fantastic opportunity to grow with a leading company within the fashion industry.

Job Logistics

Location: New York, NY - Midtown West

Schedule: We are operating in-office Monday-Friday.

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $40,000-$55,000
