Responsibilities

1. Familiarity with current color, font, and print trends and styles.
2. Conduct frequent research in the marketplace for new and current trends, and new piece types.
3. Translate trends into concepts that fit the Mud Pie brand.
4. Assist Design Director and Designers with spec designs.
5. Conduct and review product revisions with department Director.
6. Identify piece types and products for development.
7. Prepare presentation materials for line previews.
8. Assist with sample review and approval.
9. Independently design one to two collections with Supervisor approval.
10. Show versatility and resourcefulness in design styles and techniques.
11. Participate in design meetings and reviews.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or related field.
2. Entry-level candidates with relevant experience willing to grow with Mud Pie.
3. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong time management and creative problem-solving skills.
6. Strong creative vision including style, color, and pattern direction.
7. Proven ability to multi-task under deadline pressure with excellent follow-through.
8. Ability to manage product design in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. Works well with a team but can work independently with minimal direction.
