Job summary

LOFT in New York (Times Square Tower) is seeking an Assistant Designer to support the Designer in developing seasonal dress collections, fabrics, and colors that align with our brand identity. You’ll help create concept boards, line sheets, and presentation materials while maintaining strong vendor and cross-functional relationships.

You will contribute to line assortment, attend fittings, and keep detailed design logs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design is required.
  • 1–2 years of design experience.
  • Strong sketching and illustration ability.
  • Ability to identify color and fashion trends.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Designer with execution of seasonal dresses collections, fabrications and colors.
  • Prepare Line Review materials, concept boards, fabric and color boards and flat sketches.
  • Attend fittings and provide input/notes; maintain design archives and logs.
  • Prepare design specification sheets and pitch sheets; assist in line assortment and presentations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support product development.
