Ahern is hiring an Assistant Fire Protection Design Manager in Fond du Lac, WI to oversee the quality and output of the fire protection design team. The role emphasizes compliance with codes and project requirements and may involve direct reports.

You will mentor designers, ensure fabrication documents meet standards, and work with the Design Manager to deliver efficient, accurate designs while preparing for greater leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of prior relevant experience with fire sprinkler design.
• Demonstrated understanding of construction processes and project life cycle.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and to lead, mentor and deliver quality work.

How You Will Contribute

This is a great opportunity to leverage your fire sprinkler design expertise and could be a steppingstone into upper-level management. As the Assistant Fire Protection Design Manager with Ahern's National team, you will split your time between being responsible for quality control of the design team outputs and as well as providing design team assistance, this may include having 1-2 direct reports. You will ensure fabrication documents focus on fitter-friendly design, are code and project compliant, and abide by Ahern's standards. This position will provide technical assistance, mentoring and training to designers that will promote efficiency and consistency. You will work with the Design Manager and organization leaders closely to ensure optimal delivery of design and gain an understanding of design management.
