Job summary

Ahern is seeking a Project Manager for Fond du Lac, WI to manage fire protection projects from design review through turnover. You will review preliminary designs and calculations, assess material and labor costs, and coordinate with vendors to ensure competitive bids.

The role also includes preparing change orders, leading site meetings, and tracking progress with the construction team. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in project management or fire sprinkler design within construction, strong

• Three or more years of project management or design experience in the construction industry, or three or more years of fire sprinkler design experience from a fire sprinkler contractor.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• NICET certification preferred.

Project Manager – Fond du Lac, WI

Responsibilities

Apply your project management abilities through reviewing preliminary design and calculations for the bid estimates, reviewing pricing for materials, labor, freight, and fabrication, seeking out competitive vendors and services to assure that Ahern’s fire protection projects are competitively bid. You will also be responsible for preparing change orders for customers, attending jobsite meetings, verifying installation progress, maintaining labor projections, meeting with management on a regular basis to discuss project status and due dates, participating in turnover meetings as required, assisting with any follow-up information with the customer as requested, and assuming an active role in managing the projects in conjunction with the designer and construction superintendent.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of project management or design experience in the construction industry, or three or more years of fire sprinkler design experience from a fire sprinkler contractor.
