Job summary

Schnucks is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to support the Department Manager and lead deli operations in Webster Groves. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, handle orders, and deliver friendly customer service while maintaining standards.

Flexibility to work weekends and long hours, 40 hours/week, with daytime to evening shifts. Experience of at least six months in a related role is required, with opportunities for growth within a family-oriented company.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of related experience.
• Flexible availability including weekends.
• Hours from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to department and company safety guidelines.
• Assign duties to the team as needed.
• Train new teammates.
• Ensure department standards are met.
• Write orders for the day and set up timeline for production schedule.
• Provide friendly and courteous service in person and on the phone.
• Receive and stock orders.
• Understand and practice proper sanitation procedures.
• Follow inventory control procedures to ensure quality production, accuracy and product rotation.
