Job summary

The Learning Experience is seeking passionate Assistant Day Care Teachers for their afternoon shift. Located in the Town of Texas, we create an engaging and nurturing environment for children from Infants to Preschool. The ideal candidate will help maintain a safe space, support classroom activities, and foster strong relationships with families.

With a required High School Diploma and preferred degree in Early Childhood Education, candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Our position offers various benefits including health insurance, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is a must; preferred experience includes an Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education.
• Previous experience in childcare or educational settings is highly preferred.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification upon hire.

• Assist Lead Teachers in creating welcoming classroom spaces.

• Provide support in monitoring developmental milestones and assisting with classroom activities.
• Communicate with parents and families, sharing updates and supporting positive relationships.
• Collaborate with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, engagement, and overall success.
• Foster teamwork and contribute to a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: Previous experience working in a childcare or educational setting is highly preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, organization, time management and interpersonal skills, patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
