Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a dedicated Dairy Department Supervisor to help the Dairy Manager run daily operations, merchandise dairy products, set pricing, and maintain planograms. You will lead clerks, monitor rotation and stock, and ensure stock levels promote sales while delivering fast, friendly customer service.

You’ll also assist with ordering, training new associates, and upholding sanitation and company policies. This role may involve additional store support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager with the operation of the Dairy department.
• Oversee clerks within the dairy department and monitor merchandising, rotation and inventory levels.
• Assist with ordering of merchandise and supplies for the dairy department and meet transmission times.
• Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks and train new associates in dairy operations.
• Ensure sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations are adhered to; assist with store-wide customer service.

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for assisting the Grocery Manager with the operation of the Dairy department. Assists the Grocery Manager with budgeted and achievement of financial aspects of the department. Oversees clerks within the dairy department and monitors for proper merchandising, rotation and inventory levels of dairy product to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Responsible for providing a high level of customer service and courtesy at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times. Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request. Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times. Assist the Grocery Manager with the daytoday operation of the dairy department to include product merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, planograms, displays, rotation and inventory levels. Assist with the ordering of all merchandise and supplies for the dairy department and meeting transmission times. Store excess product in cooler or designated area. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times within the total store. Front end services may be required as business needs necessitate. Ensure that all company and state sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations are adhered to within grocery operations. Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks. Assist with the training and development of all new associates in dairy operations. Â Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
