Price Chopper in Little Falls, NY is seeking a Dairy department assistant manager to support the Grocery Manager with daily operations. You will supervise dairy clerks, ensure proper merchandising, rotation and inventory levels, and help with ordering, pricing and planograms while delivering courteous customer service.

The role requires attention to sanitation, adherence to company policies, and training new associates. Front-end duties may be required during busy periods to meet store needs.

• Assist the Grocery Manager with day-to-day dairy department operations including merchandising, pricing, stocking, planograms, displays, rotation and inventory levels.
• Oversee dairy clerks and ensure proper merchandising, rotation and inventory to promote sales opportunities.
• Assist with ordering of all merchandise and supplies for the dairy department and meet transmission times.
• Store excess product in cooler or designated area.
• Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service within the total store; front-end duties may be required as needed.
• Ensure sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations are followed within grocery operations.
• Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks and train new associates in dairy operations.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to company policies.

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for assisting the Grocery Manager with the operation of the Dairy department. Assists the Grocery Manager with budgeted and achievement of financial aspects of the department. Oversees clerks within the dairy department and monitors for proper merchandising, rotation and inventory levels of dairy product to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Responsible for providing a high level of customer service and courtesy at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times. Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request. Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times. Assist the Grocery Manager with the daytoday operation of the dairy department to include product merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, planograms, displays, rotation and inventory levels. Assist with the ordering of all merchandise and supplies for the dairy department and meeting transmission times. Store excess product in cooler or designated area. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times within the total store. Front end services may be required as business needs necessitate. Ensure that all company and state sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations are adhered to within grocery operations. Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks. Assist with the training and development of all new associates in dairy operations. Â Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.Â
