Job summary

The Tennessee Association of Museums is hiring an Assistant Curator for the Museums of Science and History (MoSH) in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on executing temporary and traveling exhibits and supporting permanent displays.

You will draft content briefs, research assets, assist with exhibit maintenance, coordinate with MoSH departments and partners, and help with budgeting. A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred, and experience with historical research is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Advanced degree in Museum Studies or related field preferred.
• Experience with historical research is a must.

Responsibilities

• Draft content briefs, summaries, and label copy.
• Research assets and permissions for exhibits.
• Assist with daily exhibit maintenance and operations.
• Coordinate with MoSH departments and external partners.
• Assist with exhibition budgeting.
• Other duties as requested.
