Job summary

The University of the Pacific seeks an Assistant Cross Country / Assistant Track & Field Coach to support the men’s and women’s distance programs. The role involves assisting in all aspects of the cross country season and supporting distance event development during indoor and outdoor seasons.

The successful candidate will recruit, train, and mentor student-athletes while contributing to program growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three (3) years of coaching experience with recruiting and jumps/multi-events.
• Familiarity with NCAA rules and compliance practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations, training sessions, and event planning for track events.
• Develop seasonal training plans to promote athlete growth and peak performance.
• Lead recruiting for cross country, distance events, and track disciplines.
• Support student-athlete academic progress in collaboration with advisors.
• Assist with team travel, competition entries, equipment logistics, and administrative tasks.
