At Bloomfield, creativity meets confidence! We're an arts and crafts studio where kids, teens, and adults learn hands-on skills that inspire imagination and build lifelong confidence. From painting to sewing to crochet, we provide a warm, engaging space for learning through making.
We're seeking a supportive and reliable Assistant Crochet Instructor to work alongside our Lead Crochet Instructor in classes for kids (ages 8+). You'll help bring our crochet lesson plans to life, support students one-on-one, and keep the classroom running smoothly — all while helping every student feel confident and set up for success.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys crochet, loves working with people of all ages, and thrives supporting a team rather than leading solo.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
$12–$13 per hour, based on experience
Our work is grounded in five core values that shape our culture and guide our team every day:
Collaborative Spirit — We work together as a team, showing up for each other and for our students so nobody's carrying the studio alone.
Safety — We prioritize a clean, secure, and healthy environment where every student feels safe to try, mess up, and try again.
Respect — We treat students, parents, and staff with respect and professionalism, in every interaction, every time.
Reliability — We show up when we say we will. Dependability and consistency are how our families come to trust us.
Creativity — We think within and outside the box, and we inspire each other to do the same — because creativity is contagious.
We believe in a thoughtful hiring process that's fair to both you and our studio. Here's what to expect:
We value your time throughout the process and aim to communicate promptly at every step.
If you're passionate about creativity, love working with kids, and enjoy sharing your crochet skills, we'd love to meet you!

If your resume doesn't reflect direct teaching or crochet experience, use your cover letter to tell us about your background and why you'd be a great fit — we value enthusiasm, creativity, and a willingness to learn as much as experience.
