Summary

Assists the Credit Manager in performing the company's credit functions, including credit granting, collection, and participating in the daily credit process.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adhere to established credit policies and procedures, including special payment plans, collection of accounts receivable, and setting credit limits.
• Manage aging reports and employ collection techniques to achieve superior results while maintaining good client relationships.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to global cash collection teams, mainly in North America, Europe, and China, to maximize cash flow through accounts receivable turnover.
• Investigate discrepancies between sales invoices and customer payments, providing detailed information to sales staff.
• Maintain customer file information, including potential, new, and existing clients.
• Complete trade reference requests.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least 4 years of related experience; knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact tactfully with customers.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Proficiency in basic computer software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
