Penn Entertainment is hiring at Prairie State Gaming in Illinois for a count room/ cash handling role. The position involves handling currency, ensuring accurate accounting, and maintaining compliance with state gaming regulations.

You will work with secure assets and support the company’s cash-loading operations at partner locations. The role requires ability to follow safety rules, maintain quality standards, and qualify for required licenses.

• Access restricted areas for count room ingress/egress.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure currency is accounted for and recorded in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure company assets are properly accounted for and secured.
• Ensure PSG partner locations are impressed with proper cash loads, ensuring minimal operational disruption
• Review and compile reports generated by count room personnel
• Review and resolve cash variances
• Oversee the maintenance of machinery used in count room operations
• Operate a currency counting machine
• Ability to function with secured access for ingress/egress to count room

Qualification Requirements

• Follow all safety rules
• Adhere to departmental quality standards
• Maintain compliance with the Illinois Gaming Board Rules, and the company’s Policies and Procedures, System of Internal Controls and other regulatory requirements.
• Work within the guidelines established by Penn National Gaming and Prairie State Gaming
• Other duties as assigned

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
