Job summary

ClarkDietrich seeks an Assistant Corporate Controller to support the Corporate Controller in managing accounting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls at our West Chester, OH location. The role emphasizes GAAP/IFRS adherence, timely financial reporting, and collaboration with JV partners.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, hands‑on, and capable of leading initiatives to enhance efficiency and integrity of financial operations while supporting senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s preferred.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory/leadership experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience supporting accounting operations within a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee core accounting operations and the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules; consolidate financial statements per GAAP.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls, including J-SOX; support audits.
• Design, implement, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls; support treasury functions.
• Coordinate JV financial reporting and intercompany reconciliations with JV partners.
• Lead and develop accounting staff; promote accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments for accurate reporting.
