ProPivotal in Boston seeks an Assistant Corporate Controller to lead complex consolidations, equity method accounting, and audit/tax deliverables. The role offers a high-visibility path and significant interaction with senior leadership in a growth-minded organization.

You will oversee multi-entity consolidation processes, partner on process improvements, and manage offshore resources to boost efficiency and accuracy across reporting layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of corporate accounting, fund accounting, or financial reporting.
• Real estate experience required, with consolidations and equity method knowledge.
• Comfort operating in detail-heavy work and driving process improvements.
• Strong communication and willingness to challenge the status quo.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly consolidations across multi-entity ownership structures.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, disclosures, and workpapers.
• Support interim and year-end audits from planning through issuance.
• Coordinate investment accounting for real estate, funds, and other investments.
• Coordinate tax package information with external providers.
• Drive automation, controls, and standardized processes.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, cash reporting, and analyses.
• Mentor accounting staff and offshore resources.

• Compensation:$140,000-$155,000 base(flexible for the right profile) +~20% bonus target

• Provide oversight/review of journal entries, reconciliations, cash reporting, invoices/wires, and key analyses
• Mentor and guide internal staff andexternal/offshore accounting resources

Credentials

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Required Qualifications

• 5-7+ yearsof relevant experience (corporate accounting, fund accounting, financial reporting, etc.)
• Relevant real estate industry experience is a must have
• Experience withconsolidations, intercompany transactions, complex ownership structures, and equity method accounting
• Comfortable operating "in the weeds" when needed (including JEs/workpapers), while also improving the process long-term
• Strong communication skills and willingness tochallenge the status quoand drive change
• Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and take ownership end-to-end

Preferred Qualifications

• Public accounting background and/oractive CPA
• Systems:Yardi (especially Yardi Investment Manager), Workiva, PayScan
• Experience coordinating audits/tax workflows and supervising/reviewing others' work (including offshore resources)
