Job Overview

We are seeking an outstanding Assistant Cook to join our team at Autumn Trace of North Vernon. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a community that values the stories and lives of our residents while investing in your professional growth.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare food daily according to the weekly menu plan.
  2. Assist with menu planning; review and adjust menus with supervisor to meet residents' dietary needs or improve recipes.
  3. Maintain inventory of dry goods, refrigerated and frozen foods, non-food supplies, dishes, and utensils.
  4. Keep the kitchen environment clean, orderly, and safe.
  5. Handle, label, and store food properly to ensure infection control.
  6. Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  7. Coordinate and participate in food service to residents.
Qualifications
  1. Cooking experience preferred.
  2. Interest or experience in working with older adults.
