Job summary

Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is seeking a Cook Assistant to support our Culinary & Nutrition team in Casa Grande, AZ. You will assist with salad and dessert prep, side dishes, dishwashing, and helping the Cook. The department features a brand new kitchen and state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

Work shifts are varied mornings and evenings with weekends and holidays on rotation. You will follow standardized recipes, help maintain stock, log temperatures, and keep work areas clean.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and follow established policy and procedures.
• Read and understand written and verbal instructions; communicate effectively.
• Must perform simple math calculations and follow safety rules.
• Must learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and portions all cold food items per recipes.
• Maintains stock and rotates supplies; logs overproduction.
• Checks food temps and logs equipment temps.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Assists prep carts and serves meals on patient trays.
• Follows procedures and routines under supervision.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and safety standards.
