Assistant cook for the 26-27 school year

Ekalaka Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and energetic Assistant Cook to support our kitchen team in providing nutritious meals for our students in a part time or full time capacity. The Assistant Cook will work closely with the Head Cook, assisting in food preparation, and ensuring a clean and efficient workspace. This role demands a commitment to food safety and a willingness to learn and follow established recipes. We are currently accepting applications for part-time.

Head Cook and Superintendent

JOB GOAL

To prepare and serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
• Assumes responsibility for seeing that during meal serving periods the supply of foods offered is replenished regularly.
• Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as assigned by supervisor.
• Assists in the daily cleanup of the kitchen and the service area.
• Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods.
• Performs such other duties as appropriate for the job.

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board’s policy in Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
