Job summary

Lyons Magnus is seeking an Assistant Cook in Fresno, CA to identify and weigh raw materials based on provided formulas. You will assist the cook to ensure products meet specifications and support the Production Department's goals in a fast-paced environment.

You will work in a production setting, with early-morning and late-evening shifts, and a Monday–Friday schedule. OT and weekend work may be required, and benefits begin after 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong forklift or industrial equipment skills required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

A member of the Production Department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The Assistant Cook is responsible for identifying and weighing raw materials and ingredients based on formulas provided. They will also assist the cook in ensuring products meet company and client specifications. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. This position reports to the Cook Manager.

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour

Hours:

• 5:00am - 5:00pm
• 5:00pm - 5:00am

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Must be willing to work OT and Weekends.

This is an in-house temporary position aligned with a temp-to-hire process. While a permanent role may become available, conversion is not guaranteed and will depend on business needs, performance, and attendance. Benefits eligibility begins after 90 days.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge and application of Food and Beverage Manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with kettle mixers, pumps, heaters, and electrical panels.
• Working knowledge of liquid and powder measurements.
• Strong forklift, industrial equipment skills required.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
