Coda Search│Staffing, partnering with a PE group, seeks an Assistant Controller in New York, NY to oversee fund reporting and financial operations. You will lead quarterly and annual closes, coordinate with a 3rd party administrator, and support cash flows and distributions for a growing portfolio.

The role requires strong accounting foundations, 8+ years in PE settings if possible, and the ability to drive process improvements while partnering with investment teams and external auditors.onsite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 8+ years of experience (ideally within PE)
• CPA active would be a plus
• Experience with process improvement and building efficiencies

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the firm’s funds and investments.
• Oversee and review the 3rd party administrator and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare and review dealing closings and assist with cash flow forecasting and distributions.
• Manage portfolio valuation processes, including fair value adjustments and valuation policy compliance.
• Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with standards.
• Partner with the investment team and provide deal support.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance process efficiencies and reporting automation.
• Monitor and analyze fund performance metrics to inform business strategy.
