Job summary

Finatal, a Texas-based, private equity-backed services business, is seeking an Assistant Controller to partner with the VP of Finance on financial reporting, close management, controls, and broader finance initiatives. The role offers exposure to acquisitions and integrations in a fast-paced environment.

You will actively support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, maintain GL integrity, strengthen internal controls, and drive improvements across accounting processes and systems while

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong technical accounting fundamentals across financial reporting, close, GL and internal controls
• Clear track record of career progression and increasing responsibility
• Ambitious accounting professional with potential to grow into Controller leadership
• Industry background flexible; PE-backed environment experience helpful

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Maintain the general ledger integrity and reconciliations
• Strengthen internal controls and support audits
